Simple Budgeting Starts Here
We built this program for people who've always felt intimidated by spreadsheets and budgeting apps. Over six months, you'll learn practical money skills that actually stick—no complicated jargon, just real strategies you can use straight away.
Learning That Feels Like Conversation
Most financial courses throw charts and formulas at you until your eyes glaze over. We take a different path. You'll work through real scenarios—like planning for a car repair or sorting out holiday spending—alongside other Aussies who are figuring this out too.
Each fortnight, we tackle one area of personal finance. Not in a theoretical way, but with actual bank statements and receipts. You'll see where your money goes and make decisions about where you want it to go instead.
The sessions run live online, so you can ask questions when something doesn't make sense. Between meetings, you'll have simple homework—tracking a week of spending, or setting up one automatic transfer. Small steps that add up.

How the Six Months Unfold
We've split the program into three phases. Each one builds on what came before, but you're never lost if you need to revisit earlier material.
Getting Clear
First eight weeks cover the basics—what's coming in, what's going out, and where the gaps are. You'll create a simple tracking system that doesn't require fancy software. Just honest numbers and a plan that fits your actual life.
Building Cushion
Weeks nine through sixteen focus on creating breathing room. We'll look at small savings goals, emergency funds that don't feel impossible, and ways to handle irregular expenses without panic. This is where things start feeling less tight.
Looking Ahead
Final eight weeks are about what comes next. Whether that's paying down debt faster, saving for something specific, or just maintaining what you've built. You'll leave with a personalized plan that makes sense for your situation.
Who's Teaching This
Both instructors have spent years helping everyday Australians sort out their finances. They're patient, practical, and won't make you feel silly for asking questions.
Petra Lindqvist
Petra worked in community financial counseling for twelve years before creating this program. She's seen every budgeting challenge imaginable and knows how to break down complex money stuff into manageable pieces.
Callum Drury
Callum handles the practical sessions where you'll work through real examples. He's brilliant at spotting patterns in spending and helping people find savings they didn't know existed. Also makes a decent cup of tea during breaks.
